A welcome message from our Student Leadership Team for session 2026.2027

Our aims for this year.... Our school believes in pupils, parents and staff having their voice not just heard, but also acted upon. Which is why this year, we will strive to improve our communication across the school community, so we can work together as a team to continue to improve how our school feels. We want everyone to feel valued, included and respected and will keep this at the heart of all work we do, and we know building strong relationships is the key to this. Our school vision, 'Together We Thrive' encourages us to make Linlithgow Academy feel like home and be a place where all young people feel they belong.

A little bit about us......

Hannah -

Hi I'm Hannah and I am so excited to step into the position of Head Student at Linlithgow Academy along with my peers for the 2026-27 school session.  I am looking forward to working with Malachy, Cameron, and Yashvi, but also with other students to help enact some of the changes I believe will benefit not only our school community but also for the people of Linlithgow.  In my free time I have far too many hobbies from photography to musical theatre and occasionally trying my hand at different sports as well! I have always worked closely with local initiatives and clubs in Linlithgow and can't wait to bring my connections and skills to this position. I am very chatty and would LOVE for any students, teachers, or members of the community to stop for a chat, especially if you have any ideas for the upcoming school year! I can't wait to meet more of you and look forward to the year ahead.

Malachy -

Hello, I'm Malachy and I'm looking forward to being one of your head students for this upcoming year. I feel with the other pupil leaders, we can make many positive changes to the school in other's best interests. I want to focus on having all students participating in having their voices and values listened to and taken action on. My skills of communication and leadership I've learned from working and sports will be able to help me act as a messenger between students and staff and will allow me to offer opportunities for students that are relevant to their interests. I'm excited to spend my last year at this school helping others in the same way I've been helped.

Yashvi -

Hi, I'm Yashvi and I'm delighted to be one of the depute head students for this year! I'm so excited to work as part of the pupil leadership team to create a more positive environment for everyone. I believe in making everyone feel valued, included and respected and this is something I want to continue to grow within our school community. I really enjoy learning at the academy, with my favourite subjects being chemistry and maths. Outside of school, I love playing piano as well as spending time with family and friends. I'm always open to have a good conversation about anything and everything so feel free to approach me whenever! My experience at the academy has been nothing less than amazing and I'm eager to make this the case for many others. Here's to a great year!

Cameron -

Hi, I'm Cameron and I'm excited to be one of your Depute Head Students at Linlithgow Academy for 2026-27. I'm looking forward to working closely with the leadership team as well as everyone involved with the school to make this a great year of meaningful and positive changes for the school and the community. I'm committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment that allows pupils to thrive. I want pupils to feel their voices are heard and am ready to act as a link between pupils and teachers.

Outside of school I am a qualified referee and play football where I enjoy contributing to a team environment. These experiences have enabled me to develop many skills I can bring to this role such as leadership and being able to remain calm under pressure.

I'd love to hear your ideas for the coming year and am always happy to chat. I hope to spend my final year helping to give others as positive an experience as I have had here at Linlithgow Academy. I'm looking forward to meeting more of you throughout the year and can't wait to get started!
