The Homework Standard at Linlithgow Academy

Homework is a key aspect of school life and supports the work being done in classes across all curricular areas. It makes a meaningful contribution to the learning experiences offered to each learner and reinforces classroom learning, consolidating knowledge and helping learners to progress through the significant aspects of their learning throughout school.

SCQF Gold Ambassador School

We are proud to be recognised as an SCQF Gold Ambassador School, a prestigious national accreditation that reflects our whole-school commitment to providing diverse, inclusive, and progressive learning pathways. This award highlights our innovative approach to curriculum design, learner leadership and external partnerships.

BGE S1-S3 Curriculum

Our Broad General Education phase has a clear purpose - to provide the breadth and depth of education so our young people have the knowledge and skills they will need to thrive now and in the future.

Senior Phase Curriculum Model

The senior phase of Curriculum for Excellence lasts from S4 to S6 (from around ages 15 to 18). It follows a young person's broad general education, building firmly on the Experiences and Outcomes they will have experienced and achieved to end of S3.
