Only complete this form once SQA results are known.

Following the arrival of your exam results you may decide to change your choice of courses for the year ahead. If this is the case then please complete this online proforma to indicate the changes you would like to make.

The link to this form is at bottom of page or click here: Course Choice Online form (complete once SQA results are known) (opens new window)

To complete this form you must answer ALL of the questions.

Questions 5 - 10 correspond to the course options available in columns A - F from the whole school course choice sheet.

Mrs Bulloch will review all requests on the 9th and 10th August. Earlier submissions will not be reviewed until then. Any submissions after the 10th August will be reviewed on our return to school.

While we will do our best to accommodate every request, further meetings will be required for students who find the courses they now wish to study in session 2023-24 are full or not appropriate

SQA Appeals

You can request an appeal if you have concerns about a grade (or grades) on your results certificate. Appeals 2023 has a different process to the one used last year as alternative assessment evidence will not be looked at. This year, the appeals process consists of a senior marker, who will carry out a marking review of your SQA-marked assessments. This is not a re-mark. A marking review checks that:

  • All parts of your SQA-assessments have been marked.
  • The marking is in line with national standards.
  • The marks given for each answer have been totalled correctly.
  • The correct result has been entered on our system. Please note that after being reviewed, your result could stay the same, go up or go down. As a result, you will be required to sign a disclaimer to indicate that this is understood before the school proceeds with the appeal.

To request an appeal: Complete this form: Appeals proforma 2023 (opens new window)

Please provide the following details:

  • Name of pupil
  • Year group
  • Subject and level (e.g. Higher Maths)
  • Reason for requesting an appeal
