Further Education event: Wednesday 16rd Feb 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm
Running in partnership with West Lothian College, Forth Valley College and Scotland's Rural College (SRUC), representatives from all three colleges will speak about the range of pathways and courses they offer as well as what studying at college is like.
West Lothian College will discuss the school-college partnership courses available for young people in S3 and above to follow as part of their school curriculum, as well as full and part time courses for school leavers. Forth Valley and SRUC will also cover the various opportunities for further education study that they offer. There will be links to further information and online events as part of this and the opportunity to pose questions.
Employability event: Monday 21th Feb 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm
This event is running in partnership with Skills Development Scotland and is designed for young people who are keen to enter the workplace as their next step after leaving school.
We will discuss the partnership approach in West Lothian to supporting young people into a positive destination, the importance of future skills, how young people can start planning for their future career while still at school and who can help with this, and the current and future opportunities in West Lothian and the surrounding area. We will also discuss some West Lothian programmes for school leavers. There will be links to further information and online events as part of this and the opportunity to pose questions.
