Scottish Government published updated guidance to schools earlier this week. The updated guidance means we are essentially returning to the guidance in place pre-omicron with relaxation of some restrictions.
With the removal of the requirement for staggered timetables (start, finish, break etc), this means from Wednesday 16th February we will change our internal arrangements around our school day.
The significant change will be the return to 1 lunchtime for all pupils rather than the 2 lunchtimes we currently have. This 1 lunch (40 minutes rather than current 30 minutes) means our overall school day will increase by 10 minutes, with the school day now starting 5 minutes earlier at 8.40am and finishing 5 minutes later at 3.35pm.
