LAMP

Linlithgow Amateur Musical Productions. We formed as an amateur musical theatre company in 1985.  We have performed an annual show every year since. After an overwhelming response for children to take part in our 1994 production of "Oliver", we formed our Children's Theatre in 1995.

The adult company currently has approximately 60 members aged 16 and above, and performs an annual production in October of each year in Linlithgow Academy Theatre.  In 2009 we celebrated our 25th anniversary with a production of the spectacular musical, "Hello Dolly (opens new window)" and we continue to perform an annual musical production, having performed the Scottish Amateur Premiere of Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" in October 2014. Our most recent production of "The Witches Of Eastwick" was a huge success and the adult company are looking forward to performing Kiss Me Kate in October 2017.

Our children's theatre has around 50 members aged from 8 to 16, and performs an annual production in April.

We were delighted to produce the Scottish Amateur Premiere of "Billy Elliot The Musical", produced as part of Billy Youth Theatre in 2010. In the last couple of years LAMP Children's Theatre have performed "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat"  and "Seussical The Musical"
