Transition Points
P7-S1
Moving from primary to secondary is an exciting and significant event in any young person's life. It is an important milestone which marks a change in expectations regarding crucial life skills such as independent working, organisation, presenting and being self aware. Linlithgow Academy has excellent relationships with its cluster primaries and the programme ensures the transition from primary school is smooth and effective.
Personalisation & Choice - Course Choice
Course Choice takes place for pupils from S1 onwards where there are some elements of personalisation and choice. This will be updated at Course Choice points within the academic year.

Skills Development Scotland (SDS)
Linlithgow Academy has a dedicated SDS Careers Advisor who spends a number of days within the school liaising with House Heads on the future plans of pupils.
Ross Phillips is our current Careers Advisor and meets with pupils to discuss, support and signpost to career opportunities. Pupils can also request an appointment through their House Head.
