Virtual Art Exhibition

The Art and Design Department are excited to share with you their Virtual Exhibition featuring work by S4-S6, from National 4 to Advanced Higher in Art & Design and Higher Photography.

We have been absolutely blown away by our students during this very challenging year. Despite working from home during two lockdowns they have managed to produce an impressive body of work and to very high standards. We wanted to acknowledge and celebrate their hard work and achievements in this virtual exhibition. Quite a few of the S6 are going onto pursue a variety of creative careers such as Architecture, Graphic Communication and further portfolio development, and we wish them all the best of luck!

Needless to say this is the first time we have used an online platform to showcase student work, but if you can set aside a little time in your day (imagine you are on a day out to an art gallery and grab a cuppa), and we hope you enjoy the work on display.

We have created two exhibitions:

Art & Design and Photography (N4, N5 & Higher): click here to access

Advanced Higher: click here to access

Thanks for looking,

The Art & Design Department

NOTES ON NAVIGATING AROUND THE GALLERY:

  • You will be 'dropped into' the start point and then you are free to navigate around using the arrow keys on your keyboard or using your mouse to move around, it takes a bit of getting used to but it does work!
  • You can view each artwork by clicking on it, you will then get a little pop up telling you the name of the student and title.
  • In the N4-Higher exhibition there are 2 guided tour points: you will be taken to the start of the N4/N5 section and you then navigate around yourself. Once you have finished in that area, you can use the tour button to take you to the Higher section.
  • The map floorplan tab is useful to help you see where you are in the space (see attached image).
  • In the Advanced Higher exhibition there is a short description next to each student's work which could be useful to read in order to get the full meaning behind the work.
