An invitation to stargaze in Stirling

A letter to us:

Dear Linlithgow Academy,

I am a fourth year ecology student at the university of Stirling as well as the vice president of the Women in STEM society within the university. I work quite closely with The Stirling Astronomical society. They are an absolutely amazing society based within Stirling but I have found that the classes and talks they offer are being really under-utilised by the community. I would love to encourage any young people to come along to their monthly classes in basic astronomy skills and photographing the night sky.

I have attached a poster which gives a wee bit of information about the classes and I would really appreciate it if you would possibly show it in relevant science classes or even in morning registration. If you have a stem club within your school I'm sure they would be interested as well. I can highly recommend the classes and I think they would be a great resource for your students.

Thank you,

Triana Throp
