Pupils should come to Drama prepared to work hard and have fun.
Drama is a highly practical subject which requires participation from individuals and the ability to work with all your peers. Most lessons, groups will be required to share some of their work in front of the class and although some pupils may nervous at the prospect of this, they will be supported and their ability nurtured to help their confidence grow.
Why should my child study drama?
Drama offers pupils the chance for a different experience on their timetable and many pupils who study a number of more traditional subject benefit from their time spent in Drama - allowing them to express themselves in a different manner. Furthermore, pupils who struggle with confidence or social interaction benefit a great deal whilst in the subject. Although highly practical, there is a written element throughout all the courses but pupils will be supported in order to reach their potential.
